Command-Solutions is taking our Child Care worker training program to a regional level. We have aligned with the Region VII National Head Start Organization to bring our training to Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, as well as Missouri. All of our classes are currently approved for Professional Development Clock Hours in the state of Missouri. We are in the process of gaining approval from the other three member states in Region VII.
During the week of June 25 to 29, Command- Solutions President Dennis Hohl attended the Region VII annual Leadership Conference in Overland Park, Kansas. Dennis was the afternoon Keynote Presenter on Tuesday, June 26th. The presentation focused upon how each Head Start Program , and Center can use the Incident Command System to help them manage any size crisis, emergency, or disaster. The exact same incident command system that emergency first responders have been using for over twenty years is highly effective when used properly and with adequate training.
One of our long time clients, the St. Louis, Missouri YWCA Head Start Program has adopted the incident command system and is making excellent progress in refining the system for their needs. This just demonstrates another way that having Command-Solutions as part of your emergency planning and safety team can give your agency or organization a distinct advantage in being better prepared to manage any incident that comes up. By learning and applying these systems, skills and techniques, your organization can also rise to the top of emergency preparedness and response.
